About this programme
Every year at Eid al-Adha, Muslims around the world sacrifice an animal in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail. Fakhar Anwar Safeer explains the rules to his Jewish friend Alan Cutter: a sharp knife and a quick cut to spare the animal pain (which applies to all halal slaughter), and for the Eid sacrifice, an animal of the right age with no physical defects.
From the Talk Away live "Can Jews and Muslims Be Real Friends? Faith, Friendship and Disagreement" (this moment is at about 50:50). Tap the related video link on this Short to hear Alan's answer about the Jewish tradition.
